The death penalty isn't what it used to be, the average time on death row is 10+ years.

I believe the opposite. 99% of death sentences should be life in prison solitar. If evidence comes out that you are innocent you can be freed. If you catch a pedo in the act you just put the animal down though of course. Public traitors like politicians, NGO leaders/owners, etc should of course also just hang from lamp posts immediately.
