The "Moon Landings" were a series of films. Nothing more.

Whether "we" have gone to the moon neither you or I know. But what was shown on TV was undeniably a series of films with the purpose of planting the seed of belief in the minds of the viewers that the "moon landings", as artistically represented within the films, actually happened.
