What you describe is Vectoring not flying. Moving from one position then another. in another direction, stopping. Moving to a new spot. We can't do that yet.

I don't know. About 4 years ago the military flew some really fucking loud Craft accompanied by 3 copters, flew circles above my house at 10 at night , but above a low cloud cover. Saw the copters through a break in the clouds and something between them .. but did not see much..I am assuming some huge freaking drone of some sort. Loud as hell. they flew off then over the next few days.. was reported same in Arizona someplace. The article mentioned that it was doing loops in the air. I might check for an article and post it here in the reply if I find it. My wife who did not believe in UFOs was certain as was I when it approached it was from space. But then we saw the copters and stuff.
