I'm not insulting you - Voat had the same issue, as I noted.
Proxy-insult
No need to be an ass about it.
Things work differently: meh...admin is an ass
Poal is probably using the same dependency.
Not at all.
Unless it's hard-coded, in which case, this should probably be fixed.
Yes, it's hard-coded that way.
Proxy-insult
You may revile Voat, and view any comparison to it as insulting, but know that my intention was not to insult, but to raise attention to what strikes me as bug-like behavior - behavior that users complained about on Voat for years. I thought you prided yourself on addressing issues Voat neglected? I'm trying to help.

Differently? It is because they work in the same dysfunctional way as Voat that I raised this point. It is your decision to condescendingly accuse me of not knowing how markdown works, when really the bullet point functionality was never at issue, that motivated my likening you to an ass.
Yes, it's hard-coded that way.
Then I humbly recommend you consider redesigning it, and will make a suggestion post to follow.

Not at all. Poal isn't trying to be a better voat.

it's hard-coded that way. It's a design choice.

Feel free to submit that to
Not at all. Poal isn't trying to be a better voat.
Isn't that the entire reason for its existence? Voat went down for three days, and so decided that an alternative with more attentive management was in order, and eventually you got recruited as a helping hand. That's my understanding of the history.
I'm not saying Poal has viewed it as a competition or anything, but in a real sense, it is because Voat had certain flaws that Poal felt the need to fill that void.
And so in this spirit I would expect this stupid number list bug to be addressed! , back me up here!
