If you are a Christian the answer to this is an obvious "YES". The Bible warns over and over that there are spirits roaming the earth and to not open ourselves up to them because they are not all good or from God. We are told to test spirits against the Word and have extreme discernment. We are suppose to stay away from mediums, etc. because they open us up to attacks from the spirit world. There was a reason Jesus was teaching his disciples to cast out demons. There is a reason the Catholic Church is outpacing itself in this area today. I'm not saying there are BEK, but I do believe if you open your mind to those stories these "spirits could pry on your thoughts and make you jumpy.
