The information is available, but once faced with a real person and problem, no one has agency and that sinks in deep. The individual is neutered, they have no agency, by choice, they relinquish this agency to an equally invisible but certainly present authority, that of the horde, not the civilian horde, but the entire horde of the species. By acknowledging the rule of 'everyone knows', we assert that the individual is of no consequence, should never have agency and is incapable of independent action. A person who takes action is an extremist. A society that does the same is 'woke' Its all bullshit. I wont blame you and my fellow humans (no muhahah intended).
