It should be fucking illegal for these companies to do this. It's a huge reason for the cost of housing. They have even bought entire new developments making them build to rent properties that they will never sell.

I hope people with smoking problems rent their shit. Then fall asleep on the couch. And burn it down. Then move and repeat.
