Mail usually is bulk long haul by private companies.

Used to be one here locally called T. A. Ruck - a company who missed the opportunity that so obviously presented itself.

It honestly could be great if not for the gigantic fucking waste that is the current system. If it was comprised of competent leaders who's goal was to provide an exception product to the American taxpayer it would be great.

It's not though it's comprised of a public sector union with by and large DIE employees, lazy bureaucrats who's only goal is to enlarge the waste and collect a larger paycheck, all run by an even more incompetent fuck.
