If you are trying to keep the public from knowing it.. Its because it is something you should not be doing in the first place.

From the post:

>House Republicans on Tuesday accused officials at the National Institutes of Health of orchestrating “a conspiracy at the highest levels” of the agency to hide public records related to the origins of the Covid pandemic. And the lawmakers promised to expand an investigation that has turned up emails in which senior health officials talked openly about trying to evade federal records laws.

Tried to? They guy literally admitted that he sat down with the FOIA lady and discussed how to evade FIOA, then sent emails (that could be FOIA'd to his colleagues detailing how to communicate without it being able to be FOIA'd).

These people should be marched into the town square and hanged publicly for what they have done. NONE of it was an accident, they ALL knew what they were doing and were actively trying to hide their actions as they were doing them. This is what is legally referred to as consciousness of guilt.

Yep. That is about right.

Not to dox myself but having worked in gov for far longer than I would like. They do intentionally make a effort to make sure some com's cant be FOIA'ed The majority of federal offices that use Google Suite have history turned off by default for all employees so you can't FOIA it. They will claim its because of cost of storage or whatever but they are lying to you.
