I'll try to read through those links either this evening or tomorrow. I enjoy learning new things and hearing differing opinions.
Somehow, from reading your comments in real time over the past ~2 years, I had it in my head you were more neutral - to pro Trump. It's hard to keep track of where everyone's head is at. My faux pas I guess. I should make an effort to keep better track, but I'm more into posting breaking news and reading POAL posts as a news aggregator than much else. There are only so many hours in a day.
I am the type or person who hates any politician who fails to live up to their promises and who violates their oath of office. Sadly, in my llfe time (and I was born while Lyndon B. Johnson was in office) that means all of them.
I like Trump, he wasn't a politician until he ran for office.
I grew up in NYC and knew him as a typical real estate swindler with an ego the size of the Grand Canyon. I never liked him as a person.
I gave him a chance as president (and he did do a few things I approve of) but he was ultimately a let-down.

Swindler? Kind of strong language towards someone who has been through an 8 year colonoscopy by every tentacle of the frustrated DS and found to be clean as a whisle. He broke no laws and made Billions in the dog-eat-dog cutthroat Manhattan RE industry and around the world. No argument about Trump's ego, he's all Tiger. I've heard many say they don't like Trump as a person. He's smart, he's tough, he can be rough when he needs to be. He is OUR very effective hammer against the DS. I really like that he sends "mean tweets". Maybe that's just me ... and a growing majority of the people.
All large real estate developers in NYC are corrupt to an extent. You have to be in order to succeed. Construction, permits, unions, financing, etc. - it all requires a lot of palm-greasing. He even commented once - which I agreed with, by the way - that they shouldn't blame him for gaming the system they created. Same thing with income tax. He played the rules they set up.
What I meant was that he always came across to me like an egotistical ass. He still does. His downfall was, is, and always will be that his biggest concern is feeding his ego. That, and his terrible choices in advisors.

You have to have a big ego to be a POTUS. What difference is there between feeding his ego vs that of some other POTUS - Obummer's ego was stuffed with astroturf at every opportunity. Trump's was stuffed with the sincere love and admiration of the MAGA Movement.
That, and his terrible choices in advisors.
If you like different opinions, you'll like this. I think that was a part of "the plan". What better way to expose the DS to the People than to have them placed in highly visible positions to do what they do. Trump mostly relied on the GOP and "conservative" think tanks for their recommendations for staffing and appointments and he picked from those lists. He allowed their positioning to show the People, to Awaken the sheeple of the undeclared war being waged upon them. I think it was highly effective, while still forcing them to accomplish most of his promises.
