Or are you now contending that no one accused of wrong doing has to appear before a Govt Authorized congressional committee to respond to claims of malfeasence and explain their actions ?/.
There is precedent, without repercussions. My understanding was that the special council has no teeth to enforce compliance or arrest. They appear to have enlisted the DOJ to be their attack dog. I'm not a lawfag so I'm not sure of the constitutionality of this.
He has deliberately played into the dog and pony show
Bannon isn't an idiot though. He's a brilliant strategist. He is antagonizing the J6 committee to act on it's threats. I don't know why or what he has planned if/when he is arrested, but he wants them to follow through. The idiots are on the J6 committee, they have proven this fact many times.
'Bannon isn't an idiot though. He's a brilliant strategist. He is antagonizing the J6 committee to act on it's threats. ' That sounds entirely delusional right now.
To save trawling actual legalese, here's an actual fcking subpoena lawyer. Are congressional subpoenas enforcable(https://federal-lawyer.com/subpoenas/congressional-subpoena/enforceable/) Bannon is a fcking idiot and his lawyer that advised him 'not to appear' is probably a joo.
edit' This not without precedent at all. Congressional committees were widely used during the Mafioso era and during the Red communist scare. Many have seen the old black and white tv clips of guys sitting there 'pleading the fifth' for over an hour during the 50/60 and 70's...
Time tells all. To use a Trumpian phrase - "Let's see what happens".
That seriously Sounds like a cop out. And when he's convicted for contempt, will that be part of some brilliant strategic plan ?.
