There was a chubby no makeup short haired lesbian type that was some kind of 'educational' liaison or something stationed on the bridge which hints the role is to make sure the academy students (audience) get the right educational message (propaganda and indoctrination) from whatever happens. Some kind of magical fat hologram black female is the 'Data' that doesn't understand human ways and has to be taught. I don't understand this other character that is a White male Krionian Cry-onion? That asks a super smart girl to turn around and not look as he changes into a ..... black character. What was going on here? He was afraid she'd not be into him when she sees he turns black? I don't get the reason for asking her to turn and not look.
