I think you're half right. But I think conservatives gave up in the sense that they don't expect anything like Star Wars to return to being good. I didn't do a survey or anything but I don't have a Netflix account and I don't watch any of these woke movies. You just sort of hear about things and roll your eyes and then go watch or do something else.

Also, because this thing reads like YA fanfic type stuff, it will probably fly under the radar enough to not generate too much news or protest.
