That was the boomiest and fireyest anomaly I've seen since Challenger anomalied back in '86.
The people I interviewed with there years ago certainly gave me the DEI impressions.
Bullet dodged? Wonder if the reason for the 'splosion will come out.

It was. The pay rate was terrible, and they wanted me to pay everything up front to fly out there and interview.
I declined. I explained that I didn't have the credit overhead at the time (living credit limited) and couldn't front that. Got one word in an email back: "Gotcha."
The person that was supposed to be scheduling was named "Violet." I imagine her middle name was "Karen."
DEI is most certainly the cause, but they won't admit it and blame some hardware failure instead.
