Is there any scientific value of retrieving it, or just a cool piece of history to get back?

We could see what effect 50 years of exposure to space had on it, but it'd mainly be a cool piece of history.

If they find it, then we can then kill the growing dismissal of the moon landing.

Honestly I think they landed on the moon but where in unable to get the footage to earth due to the van Allen radiation belt so they had to fake the footage that everyone saw.
