With the new Dark Age looming over us, preserving the natural state of the back side of the moon seems a low priority. It is quite possible that no human being will ever walk on the moon again, if our technology and infrastructure continue to stagnate and degrade. Inner city black children can't even read above the primary school level. How long before the same thing is said about whites in rural areas? When a society loses literacy, it loses everything. I think the far side of the moon is safe for a while, maybe for the rest of the duration of the inner solar system.

Man, that's depressing. Worse yet, I can't refute it.
