i got a starlink dish i almost came when i got to tell comcast to go fuck themselves. it was the first time i enjoyed taking an exit survey.
What's your experience with it so far? What about the pings/uploads/downloads?
i probably average speeds of 80 to 100 Mb/s sometimes get up to 180. ping around 50 to 75ms upload around 25Mb/s most days i have an outage around 430 am. i have yet to put the dish in its final resting place so im not sure if its due to obstruction or its some sort of maintenance they do in the network. but its usually not even long enough of an outage to disrupt a video stream i had one outage on the longer side so far for around 30 minutes and i have had the dish for 6 months. in my area comcast was the only choice i paid around 120 per month for 50 down and jack shit up. they were charging me a lease fee for a modem i never had i used my own. it was a nightmare getting them to stop charging it. plus they introduced 1.2 tb data caps that i blew through in 2 weeks. so that was it for me it was a no brainer. the starlink router has great range but you cant login to it. i don't know if that's changed cause i haven't used it in 4 months. i plugged in my mesh routers and they just worked fine so i set my mesh network back up. but so far i probably paid for the dish in what i saved by not having comcast and that was around 600$ it does fine streaming all my security footage from the house here im really glad i bit the bullet and got the dish though. if comcast or some other hellhole of a company is your only choice then just buy a dish if you can get one in your area. even if you have to wait i think i bought mine and waited 2 months it was worth it. but ill update you once i raise the dish up higher.
Thanks for the detailed explanation.
