You've not heard of the time the earth had no moon? seriously, the information is there, you just have to find it. Hint, every 12,500 years or so the earth is hit with a magnetic reversal and cataclysmic events such as flooding, earthquakes, volcanoes etc...the entire earth tilts 20 degrees, and back again.
