I don't understand how vacuum engines work. one minute they will work just fine and they next they won't even ignite. one flight, (first attempt at orbiting) the reliant worked just fine. i crashed because i'm a terrible pilot so a loaded my quicksave and it didn't work. it also seems like they really don't like working when a decoupler is above them.

here is the layout: step 0, mk something parachute step 1, lv t30 reliant (i have some fuel in between) step 2, decoupler step 3, rt 10 hammer step 4, decoupler step 5, rt 10 hammer step 6, decoupler step 7, 5 bacc thumpers

also it always explodes when coming back into orbit.

Are you sure you have your staging correct and that your engines have oxidizer available as well as liquid fuel while in a vacuum? When you're having problems, check the status of the engine and see if it says flame out. On your stage 1, what is lv t30 exactly? I haven't booted the game up in a while. You do have a control module of some sort, either a probe or a pilot right?

the issue was that I was not thrusting. I know I'm a retard. I asked a friend. Thanks
