In "March of the Morons" the stupid people of earth were convinced to go to Venus to a utopia, but they were instead exterminated. The author however is a Jew, with obvious holocaust references.
In "Hitchhikers Guide" the stupid people were convinced that the sun was going to blow up and sent in a large spaceship in a random direction. Unfortunately that ship crashes to earth were the survivors become our human ancestors.
Both of these works are frequently cited along side the movie Idiocracy.
