I actually don't have any shadow banning features over there yet. I don't think i'll ever shadow ban a user, maybe hide a sub from front page idk.

That is shadow banning. By hiding a sub from making it to the front page.

Not to be super picky, but Shadow banning is when you see your post but other's do not. Keeping racist communities from the trending page isn't really shadow banning. You can allow people to keep having their conversations, people who sub to that community can still see it but new users aren't confronted with a onslaught of racist content when they first visit the site. Seems fair to me.

Seems a bit unfair to still limit their free speech by protecting them from "hurtful words," and being their nanny. It is your site, and if you want to be their Mommy....
