Is that a sluice? Beautiful

Its a (very) old watermill that could at one point have also been part of a sluice but I think it was actually used to mill grain at some point. I don't believe this is where it was originally used. Its more of a prop now but depending on the time of the year they used to still lower it into the water so you could watch it in action even if it was not hooked up to anything.

Lots of people like to toss coins into the little box area, they really should not. Its bad for the water quality if they miss but what are you going to do?

Guess that's my Swiss showing. Lol

Might take a day to visit this January in-between ski days.. assuming the migrant gangs don't deter me between now and then..

Stay out of the Denver metro and you should be mostly ok.

Also, of you end up in Estes park, go to the taffy shop. The real one, that has been there for decades. Not the crappy look-alikes that popped up a few years back. DM me if you want more info.

Maybe we should have something like "poal geoguesser". Post a pic and give a minimum of details like "It is in this state, good luck".

Sounds like fun.

Looks about right, That would be within about 15 feet at worst.

I've never been to the Rockies. Is it worth it?

Stay away from the big cities. Its all shit there. Some of the small towns are pleasant.

It is too bad. Every amazing beautiful part of the world eventually gets ruined by commies/progressives/leftists.

Even Denver ~20+ years ago (even with the crime downtown) was pretty amazing.

I've heard Montana and Idaho's shares of the mountains are amazing, though I wonder if it's too late to find a spot to truly be alone and not deal with traffic with all the Californians coming in (at least without having to go to Canada).
