I guess mountains can have doppelgängers too.
A lot Germans and Scots settled in the Shenandoah Valley from PA back in the 1700’s. My German roots are from there and many are still there on the same lands though they came straight from Germany not PA. Rockbridge County, an eclectic mix of hill people and the educated due to Washington & Lee University and Virginia Military Institute being in Lexington. Sadly, rich yanks and alumni have ruined it over the years. Ain’t the same as when I was a kid there that’s for sure.
