Is the whole point of this type of racing the sliding around part and making smoke? It seems they could dramatically improve their lap times with better suspension and tires that keep traction. Maybe learn how to keep their line. I dunno.

It's about making the car dance. Touge/drift is for short windy roads. There are times more hp won't improve your time on such a course.
