What the fuck are they actually trying to prove here? People fear snakes because they could be hurt by snakes?

Right. I also don't touch red-hot coals because I don't want to burn the fuck out of myself. I was not born with that knowledge either.

Exactly what was demonstrated in the video. Fear of snakes is a learned behavior. Learned from observation and/or experience. This is already well known behavior, not sure why they need to make a video about it. Most fears are irrational and inherrited. Only a handful of your fears are based on actual experience.

Right, we tend to have a "natural" fear of deep water, caves, the dark, maybe even "fire" in general due to wild fires. Those are about the only ones I can think of that seem "natural".
