The metric system doesn't have an inch, and it doesn't have a foot. Those are human measurements. Literally -- they are derived from human body parts. That's why they are so organic and natural to use. They are of us and they suit us. The metric system is completely made up from nothing. By that I mean it's not based on anything human, or on anything humans interact with. It's not natural, it's artificial. The millimeter is a shitty measure, and so is the centimeter. The only thing that makes the meter halfway bearable is that it is almost the same as a yard. The same for the liter -- it's almost the same as a quart. If you lose the inch, you're going to miss it.
