Next time some current thing fag brings up the war in Ukraine b/c the media activated their almonds ask what they think about the Tigray War or one of the many other conflicts they're unaware of (with way more casualties in many cases) to make them feel stupid

I would say that the Maidan coup was the start of the war. US and NATO got their hooks into a country bordering Russia and Russia had to act for security reasons.
