Actually that article is a bit misleading, she actually spent around 2 years in jail (nationalvanguard.org). Not sure what the status is currently.
The muds have their enclaves and they enforce those no-zones with violence by many men. You would need a handful of good men on your side to exact your vengeance. And even then it would turn into a mini-war. It seems that the folk have been so demoralized that you can't even get a dozen good men together to enact justice upon the evil doers.
