What will happen is a secondary economy will emerge. In order to sustain the complex economy we now have will require vast amounts of money. However, that only comes from human labor. Here's the problem. These data centers will become useless as they won't be able to sustain themselves. They're being built out as moats today. That is, the data centers are to protect legacy business models. Not to add value to people. Once it becomes apparent they cost too much, use too many resources, they will shut down. In the meantime, business will revert back to people providing services to others. True, this won't happen before the current economy fails. It's only then this can occur.
That makes a lot of sense but it will be a huge price to pay in every way. The planet will suffer, humanity will suffer.
Darkness before the dawn.
