I'd argue that the lack of that form of history is why America formed in the first place. Idealistic men came here for a new life away from the notions and chains of the motherlands they came from. They were willing to fight and die to prevent devolving into a serfdom as was common in Europe. Whether or not this was worth it in modern context is up to interpretation. Both regions are fucked now.
