why would you observe a cat in a box if you are not curios?

Being curious does not kill the cat. You can be curious all day long, but the cat is still both dead and alive until you observe it. You don't have to be curious in order to observe something. And again even if you do open the box because you are curious there is no guarantee you will observe a dead cat.

The proverb "curiosity killed the cat" has nothing to do with cats or death. It's a warning about sticking your nose where it doesn't belong.

I hate the cat paradox.

It could be dead or alive until you view it?

Hmm if I left the box for a year, it'd be dead even if I didn't check. If it was screaming to get out it'd be alive. I know the idea behind it, but I still think it's gay.
