I read years ago movie camera rentals were around 10k a day so I imagine 3D cams at least 2 required at all times for an entire movie or show creation would be much more than that plus you need specific software to edit your creation so greed on the back-end of the technology is what killed 3D plus the TV costs were outrageous in themselves compared to a normal led HDMI set which is around $200 or so for a regular sized one but spending a months pay on entertainment is foolish in my eyes.
You could rent a bunch of young sluts for that much money and have a super memorable time "harem orgy" so it all comes down to the almighty dollar and how much of them people think are worth using this tech. It's extremely affordable for rich people but they don't have the time to sit around watching a 3D idiot box or know that they are used to control thinking so avoid it at all costs since programming is for slaves not controllers.
