I was thinking about all the different places I’ve traveled to in my life, reflecting on my past decisions, etc., when I realized something quite curious: my favorite spots to travel were mostly white and full of guns. I bought into the travel meme when I was younger, and I can tell you right now that you’re not missing out on much if traveling isn’t something you want to do. That being said, I’ve never felt more comfortable and at home than when I’m among a white community where everyone is carrying. I swear, some of the best interactions I’ve had were with polite men and women proudly carrying a pistol on their hip... not sure what that’s supposed to mean, but there it is. TL;DR When a community is majority white and everyone has a gun, some sort of magic happens which causes everything to just be fucking amazing. I’m talking “hey, friend. Care to stop by for dinner tonight?” levels of amazing.
