Either would be fine, would even take a baton or just fists. The key for me would be avoiding undue losses (imprisonment, fines, courts, arrests) arising from escorting another gentleman to deaths door. I have some ideas that could certainly revolutionize politics as well. For example, old way was if someone 'below' you challenged, it was no big deal to deny them satisfaction, they are lesser. Well I got a different view. For example, if a civilian challenged a holder of public office, they should be unable to decline (or lose their seat). That 'motivator' seems more effective than "some groups of crazy people might kill you if you fuck about" ..... more like...
