Obviously, it depends on how fast and what task.

  • Internet browsing
  • LED torch/flashlight
  • Watching video (depends on selected quality)
  • Stand-by
  • Always-on display
  • Writing text
  • Music playback
  • Music playback over headphones or bluetooth
  • etc.

I often asked myself: How long could a phone do these tasks with the power from one second (or 10s or 1m or 5m) of fast charging?

Obviously, it depends on *how* fast and what task. * Internet browsing * LED torch/flashlight * Watching video (depends on selected quality) * Stand-by * Always-on display * Writing text * Music playback * Music playback over headphones or bluetooth * etc. I often asked myself: How long could a phone do these tasks with the power from one second (or 10s or 1m or 5m) of fast charging?

And it is still holding up as your main phone in 2020?

Incredible.

Doesn't Internet browsing lead to outdated TLS issues?

Also, does YouTube still work on that thing?

Internet browsing? On a touchscreen? A 3.5" touchscreen?!

Joking aside, I've never actually tried to use it for internet browsing. I just use my phone as a phone.

I see.

Does YouTube work on the device? (very unlikely, I guess.)

Well, I spent an hour and a half over lunch trying to get it to talk to the office wifi, because I've nothing but ethernet at home and the phone doesn't have a port for that. Ultimately, no luck; which means that either it doesn't speak modern routerish or there's some other problem that I have no idea how to debug because it's a phone - there doesn't seem to be a console and all the setting UIs are braindead.

So... uh... probably not, I guess?
