The Squid Game is not as good as they say. The idea is good, this series shows the elite as perverts in quite realistic way. The problem is the lazy writing. It looks like the author had the right idea, but was unable to elaborate it. Apart of the depiction of cruel games with human lives, this series goes nowhere. I think those who are praising it, are people unable of critical thinking, liking it only for the bold idea.

it is not a masterpiece, but it is good. compelling premise, well defined character motivations, realistic depictions of human reactions to stressful situations, no stunning and brave grrrrrl power, and much more.

i would have removed the whole eyes wide shut part entirely, or left it for another season. the implication was far more compelling than the revelation. but otherwise, it's a great show.

but you're probably right. I just enjoy it because I'm cartoonishly stupid.

honestly it wouldnt surprise me if squid game was a real thing tbh. they get away with soo much shit what would a tiny a mount of people count as. they can drone children and people are like "meh its not near my neighbourhood" we are morally bankrupt perhaps this is just getting us preped for when they tear down the last curtain

They have the means, and they are libertine sadists who see everyone else as disposable animalistic automatons... If they aren't physically limited or by their own morality then there is really no reason to assert that such things, like underground modern-day colosseums with trafficked humans, or human-hunting islands, can not happen.

Squid Game is too gimmicky & theatrical to be real though and seeing someone shot probably doesn't titillate a sadistic degenerate, like that, enough.

it comes down to playing with hope squid game is like that, its like the utimate sadistic trolling. you put the bait out there and wait for the prey to bite, sure its gimmicky and theatrical but that would be exactly what would entertain these sadists

They are just like Serial Killers, especially the ones that kidnap & enslave victims for a long period of time, except they are above the law. That element of psychological anguish, where the victims are tempted with false hope, or persuaded/ coerced into acting like a savage murderous animal, or where victims are forced to choose between being tortured and horrifically killing someone/ something they love, those elements are true.

That's why I hate all those 'Horror' movies with torture, gore and shit like that. I never watched them. I was first introduced to such 'possibilities' when I read about Serial Killer cases and the testimonies of the victims of SRA, so it's never entertainment for me. I am reminded how, in all of human history, someone innocent probably suffered something like that.

It was okay, but being on netflix there had to be some poz somewhere.... Notice how most of the big bad rich people were all white doods... and the homo-rapist wasn't a raging faggot but a big fat TV-American shape.

also the ending was stupid, contrived and cheapened all of the few good moments the show had(Gotta set it up for the sequel!!)
