I just watched the first episodes of Death Note, and I must say that the writing is great. Despite the supernatural elements, the plot is treated in a very well thought manner, clearly based on logic. What bothers me is the animation, because it's very cheap, with images just sliding all over the screen, without any real animation, like made by an autistic kid. Also the audio dubbing in english is awful, like made by actors who have diarrhea, unable to talk in natural way. My verdict is teens will enjoy it's well thought plot, but the technical execution will annoy anybody who is used to well made animation.
