I have been using this as a "app" on my TrueNAS scale system for a couple of months so far.
It works well, it has stuff like facial recognition and object detection (100% local) and make a great replacement for stuff like google photos.
The app auto-sync's all video and pictures from our phones to the server in the background anytime we are on the wifi network... etc.
I am considering opening it up to some friends/family since you can have your own space that only you access but you can build shared albums and allow others access to send a link for them to get to a photo or album.
It seems like a good way to be able to share photos with friends/family without having to put them on someone-elses-server.
