The trouble is that the Long March of Progressivism/Communism/Gnosticism has made our society and its institutions unrecognizable. A position that would have been "Centrist" a hundred years ago is not "crazy, far-right, wacko conspiracy theory". It's all become internal squabbles between ultraleft subfactions.
