I try to get my father to pull away from the church but he just doubles down and hands them tons and tons of money. He tells me he loves the ritual. And I tell him they're all a bunch of pedophile rapists and all he says is it's a sad day in the church. It's like Pop they've been raping boys probably for 1500 years. It's not a sad day it's a sad everything. Three priests and two nuns were homosexuals there in our local church and he's okay with still going.
Not every aspect of the catholic church is poison any more than any other religion is.
I was in love with it until father Paul. He single handedly destroyed it for me. 45 minute homily about nothing. He would just drone on about nonsense. I still pray my Catholic prayers because I don't know any other ones plus they feel right and communal. I just can't set foot in a church. I can't see how Jesus would think that men in dresses parading around gold trinkets screaming at us about how fucked up we are is what he wants for us. Loving God is so much more than getting yelled at and giving money a bunch of greedy men.

This has s nothing to do with joos. All you have to do is a basic search to find the horrors. I'm not against my father worshiping God I just think he needs to find a safer home to do so.
