This seems like basic physics, but an unnecessary waste.
If you put the vacuum outside the coop and just run a longer hose, it seems like it would work better and with less effort.
And seeing the amount of stuff he’s sucking up, I’m betting a shovel would do it even faster.
Again, I am a chicken novice. Would somebody please explain to me why you might need to keep your chickens in some sort of space capsule?
All true and the easiest way would be to use a shop vac without any filter. This was just a demonstration of how pressure differentials work in practice, I think. Thinking out of the box is always interesting but not always useful.
Scoop, sweep, then install a drain.
