a digital facsimile of an chemo-analog computer (brain) is terrifying. Save it to magtape and it becomes even more horrifying. Your brain could be unloaded for trillions of years in a state that no one could be sure of, only to be loaded again with no sense of the time you were down (possibly). Like cryo, I have a fear that you will experience the downtime and be absolutely psychotic from it.
Also, what would happen if you loaded a stored brain into an actual organic brain? Would something be missing, lost in the transfer?

You can't upload the actual consciousness of the original creature itself. It's just a copy and even using the word "copy" may be a stretch.
Maybe it is physically possible, but we can't do anything close to it with current human technology.
If it really were possible I would be open to transhumanism but... just me being dead (or even still alive) with digital facsimile of me wondering around holds zero appeal to me.
