Apparently this professor has since asked to have this video taken down and blocked these two on social media.

They say that what we know about black body physics makes the Big Bang theory a poor explanation for the cosmic microwave background (CMB) radiation. He says they are wrong, then proceeds to argue with them about things he later admits he knows little of. At no point does he give their idea any reasonable consideration.

Professors like him are the people telling you the Big Bang theory and many other things are well established science with no reasonable alternatives. This expert’s behavior does not prove that the theories in his field are all inaccurate, but it shows that they could be and people like him would still defend them to their graves.

For what it’s worth, if I had to bet my life on this debate right now, I would bet that the two podcast hosts are correct, not the professor.

The classic cosmologists really don't want to lose the CMB argument. If the CMB is shown to be terrestrial in origin (likely from the oceans), the foundation of all their theories crumbles and it will be shown that they have been manufacturing nonsense models to describe the universe. Credentialism and "consensus science" are used to exclude any heretical theories, as can be seen in this interview where he essentially demands that they produce lists of peer reviewed papers by scientists who are funded by large universities before he will even consider them.

Not sure how long it will take for classical cosmology to die, it could be years or it could be many decades still, but it will die. The magical thinking of Dark Matter and Dark Energy will be cast aside. It will be an exciting time for astrophysics then. The Universe is Electric.

I was referred to this video by Ben Davidson and what you said is exactly what he and others have been saying for years. He regularly highlights new research that reveals problems with current cosmology. This interview brings one of the biggest ones right out in the open.

He calls this video in cosmology.

I'm 25 minutes in, and he's starting to get irritated, passively-aggressively calling people with different ideas "very creative individuals".

He's not counter-debating their points, he's orbiting around with tongue in cheek answers, and then proceeds to tell them let's get back to the point.

You picked up on that quicker than I did. At the end he insists they show off the patronizing medal he apparently gives to everyone who naively comes to him trying to challenge his exalted expertise. That’s when I finally realized he had no intention of taking them seriously.

I had to stop at 30 minutes, and I'm now listening the rest of the video.
