Cope story to excuse why we're not going back to the moon. All the 'nazis' that got us there are dead

Venus it is then. Cloud City is way cooler anyway.

I'm surprised they didn't mention creating artificial "gravity" via centrifugal force of spinning the ship as it travels. I know there is a lot of engineering to make that a reality but theoretically a potential strategy to combat that piece anyway.

It's zero gravity and radiation. There's a good solution for the former. The latter, not so much.

Right, I got that which is why I wrote, "that piece anyway". I haven't looked too far into the radiation aspect and why heavy shielding isn't viable. I'm guessing it depends on the type of radiation. Another interesting rabbit hole for me to follow. ;)

Lead lining a cramped "safe room" for solar storms would be somewhat viable. Lead lining the entire craft to account for constant low level radiation is the issue.

The earth has the magnetosphere to protect from that constant low level radiation.

Just send people with big kidneys.

That gives me an idea for a prison for pedophiles and human traffickers: a space station, and all they are fed is a diet loaded in sugar. A shrunken kidney plus kidney disease would be a very painful way to go.

Fuck all that. Cheaper to toss them in a volcano.

Too quick.

I'm fine with quick. The longer it takes the more appeals they make. Volcano and be done with it.

glomerular filtration can't occur in null gravity.
