What you say doesn't make sense.. Sunlight is supposed to help the body to produce Vitamin D.

Sunscreen, which blocks sunlight, can decrease vitamin D production.

Poorly phrased maybe. The ligher your skin is the more fully UV rays penetrate to stimulate vitamin D production. What you said and what I said aren't incongruent.
