2 things here first The sun storm, a powerful X1-class solar flare, erupted from the sun on Thursday (Oct. 28) "The current estimates for the CME are that it will reach Earth on Oct. 31," Young said.

but other web sites tell me a solar flare take 15-18 hours to reach us.

second item - ""We don’t have much to worry about as far as impact to our daily lives but there could be more space weather impacts in the future as we continue to move towards solar max around 2024-2025," he added.

The sun is currently in the beginning phase of its latest 11-year solar cycle, called solar cycle 25, in which its activity rises and falls over time. Currently its activity is relatively low. "

So does this explain global warming?

It's going to explain the sudden shift of the jet stream.

Global temperature is largely moderated by the solar cycle.

Some solar cycles are more active than others.

We are also undergoing a magnetic poll flip as our solar system approaches the galactic plain.

During this time our magnetic field declines rapidly in strength.

The reduction in field strength serves to magnify the impact of solar activity on our planet.

Also, static electrified dust from the galactic plain is also expected to greatly enhance the level of solar activity...

... with rather severe consequences for those of us down here.

Different particles will travel at different speeds:

These particles were accelerated [..] by shock waves in the leading edge of the CME. Traveling at relativistic speeds, the protons reached us in less than an hour. The CME itself will take more than two days to cross the sun-Earth divide.
