Science began to be corrupted in post-WW2 Western nations with the environmentalists of the 1960s. Remember when they campaigned to stop the building of more nuclear reactors? Remember when they blocked the Concord SST from flying anywhere in the US except New York? Remember their costly campaigns to save the snail darters? Remember Silent Spring? Remember the ozone hole? They threw science out the window in favor of emotional appeals. And those appeals were to a large degree successful. Remember global warming? A complete farce, but it's still going on today. The Covid hysteria is only an extension of what has been going on for the past fifty years and more. Add to this suicidal insanity a greater and greater number of non-whites in science, and you magnify the liklihood of corruption, incompetence, and bad science.
