Fuck they're getting a shit ton of rain in that entire image on top of the Typhoon. The cloud coverage is wide ranging and the storm below Taiwan is large and if it nudges north and stops Taiwan is fucked for just the rain it will drop will flood whoever is below those clouds.

Nah eye is missing TW, by about 50kt, all TW gets is some rain and some wind, it's going to park over Shanghai, and it's going to wreck all the shipping, and flood the region likely.

No. I think getting China's navy out of the way, and buying time to position oneself strategically works better. Needless loss of life is regrettable to me anyway.
