You didn't watch the video. You have zero credibility. Come back with your prejudice wired shut

He LITERALLY SAID this in the beginning: Science assumes that matter does not have consciousness.

That is all that you need to know.

He literally said in the beginning that the sun is at the center of the solar system. That is all you need to know.

You're a cultust. A dogma worshipper.

But perhaps you are recoverable. A pre sentient.

So let me share with you knowledge that can pierce your bubble of surety.

No one knows what conscious actually is... So Wtf are you basing your dismissal upon?

No one knows what conscious actually is...

Are you conscious? If so, you are aware of what consciousness is.

If you are open to discuss, I would be happy to discuss. My original post had all the information that you need, I would be happy to expand on it as you like.

1) Science is a process that measures things at ever increasing resolutions. THAT IS ALL SCIENCE IS.

2) Science cannot deal with the concept of consciousness BECAUSE SCIENCE ONLY DEALS WITH THINGS YOU CAN MEASURE. That is very important. Science cannot do anything about consciousness until you can figure out a way to measure consciousness. If consciousness has a size, science can measure it. If consciousness has weight it can measure it. If consciousness has quantum effects that we can test experimentally science will allow us to devise methodology for testing for the quantum effects which will include processes for error correction so that we can know that what we measured we actually measured.

3) When we say keep your woo bullshit out of science, what me mean is, you can come up with any idea that you want. What you believe is up to you. If you want to believe that rocks are spirit kind and that your people were begot by a raven go ahead. If you want to believe a pebble on a beach has consciousness go ahead. If you want to believe that we are merely recursive functions of the universal construct looking in on it self, fine.

But, if you cannot measure it, it isn't science.

Come up with a way to measure it, do the scientific test and collect your millions in nobel prizes.

Until then, your believe in consciousness is no better than my belief that Baba Yaga is real.

The real problem here isn't science or even me dismising things like consciousness. I neither dismiss consciousness the way that I don't dismiss the idea that gods exist. The real problem is the absolutely DERANGED need that you people need to take things that cannot be measured (woo) and stuff it into science (things that can be measured).
