I bought 6 tabs from someone who said they weren't the strongest acid. Haven't done acid for about 8 years.

I also didn't drink from 2014-2017. But it's been getting bad lately.

I wanted a real trip so I took all six tabs. It was the strongest trip I've ever experienced. It reduced me all the way to my earliest memories of being a toddler that I didn't even know were still in there.

It completely reset my mind in regards to my alcohol addiction. I usually drink heavily every other day and skip a day in between. Now 2 sessions missed and don't even miss drinking.

I hope I am saved and I can keep it up.

If you think is god talking to you, drinking is the least of your problems.

Whether you believe in god or not, it seems like a pretty normal, healthy activity for homo sapiens to talk to him. Theres no indication that worshipping supernatural beings is a pathological state for humans. On the contrary, it would appear to be a positive adaptation which probably has a genetic basis and is widespread in the species.

Religion is primarily community building. Shared spirituality helps hold communities together, especially in the face of foreign threats. It helps repel muslims and used to help repel jews.

I hate those kind of atheists. Evolution only cares about what works. Religion works.

Never heard this argument before. Good point

If you haven’t noticed yet, Im very evolution oriented. I happen to be an atheist. But I have to accept that one sees religion and religious behavior in every fucking society, from scandinavians to australian aborigines, and that is probably indicative of a positve adaptation. I mean, if it was bad for human societies to worship the sky father, why does every fucking society worship the sky father? Maybe it’s what works. And if you are prepared to die for your tribe because you believe you will go to valhalla and drink mead with the gods forever, might that not confer survival on the local gene pool?

I think even as we begin to reject older religions, we are forming new ones that are arguably as irrational as the old ones. Government is magic. Black people are victims of invisible racism which makes them poor and violent. Babies are only real people after they pass through the vagina. These are all new superstitious beliefs that dont seem to require any evidence to be accepted among the devout. I have no doubt that these beliefs are useful to certain groups of people who promote them.

When we consider the simulation theory it makes sense that the administrator might pop in from time to time to give us a little course correction. We live in a society that promotes fake magic and illusions, talking to (((doctors))) for therapy, and consoom chems feel better but to speak with god is to be insane.
